Summary

Assist researchers within HLCC in the preparation of research grants. Support the delivery of the research portfolio within the HLCC clinical group through active engagement with the research teams, clinical and service support departments, the local CRN and industry partners. Support sponsorship reviews for Trust led studies. Facilitate post-award and project set-up processes, ensuring funding information is passed on to other members of the Research Office in a timely and efficient manner. Assist the Research Managers and Research Associates in organising and implementing research development initiatives in the Trust and promoting the Trusts research activities to internal and external stakeholders.Facilitate feasibility assessments for Trust led and hosted projects including contract agreements with research partnersAssess, arrange and confirm the Trusts capacity and capability to successfully deliver research.Drive data quality standards and completeness on the Research Offices study management database.Ensure that all relevant study activities are accomplished effectively in line with the national performance metrics and NIHR RDN metrics.Promote the corporate image of the Trust and its research activity.Assist with clinical research quality functions where required.Provide costs for research grants, liaising with Finance and other Trust departments as necessary.Act as Associate AcoRD (Attributing the costs of health and social care Research & Development) Specialist, maintaining a working knowledge of AcoRD and its application in the NHS. Source relevant funding opportunities for researchers and circulate to the wider Heart, Lung and Critical Care Clinical Group. Support the research teams with administration.
