Registered Care Home Manager Responsibilities

As the Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the safe, effective and compliant operation of the nursing home.

Responsibilities include:

Managing the day-to-day running of the nursing home

Leading, mentoring and developing nursing and care teams

Delivering exceptional standards of elderly nursing care

Ensuring full CQC compliance

Driving continuous quality improvement

Managing staffing, recruitment and retention

Clinical governance and medicines management

Budget management and financial performance

Occupancy growth and business development

Building positive relationships with residents, families and healthcare professionals

Creating a positive, supportive culture for colleagues and residents

Registered Manager Requirements

Essential

Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD)

Active NMC PIN

Previous experience working within a nursing home

Experience as a Registered Manager, Home Manager, Clinical Manager or Deputy Manager

Strong knowledge of CQC regulations

Excellent leadership and people management skills

Passion for delivering Outstanding care
