Summary

Michelham Gastroenterology Ward is a busy, acute 21 bedded Ward thatspecialises in Gastroenterology with Elective and Emergency admissions. Michelham works closely with the team on Endoscopy and the wider MDT.    A multidisciplinary approach to care is practised.

 We pride ourselves on having a friendly and welcoming team – both Nursing and Medical – where you never feel alone and you get the support that you need. We also work very closely with our colleagues from Adult Social Care and Allied Health Professionals – Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists and with our Mental Health Team.

The Registered Nurse will  provide a high standard of nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of patient care. The post holder will work closely with the Nurse/ Team Manager and Team Leaders. Your responsibilities will include undertaking clinical skills and treatments and the safe admission and discharge of patients.
