Join a dynamic and highly specialised team at the Oxford Transplant Centre, one of the UK’s leading transplant services, delivering around 300 life-changing transplants each year. As a Band 7 Transplant Nurse Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and delivering exceptional post-transplant care across a diverse and complex patient group, including kidney, pancreas, islet cell and multi-visceral transplants.

You will demonstrate Compassion and Respect in every patient interaction, ensuring care is consistently patient-centred, personalised, and responsive to individual needs. Working alongside experienced Band 7 practitioners and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will drive the Delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality care, supporting excellent clinical outcomes for transplant recipients.

This role offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to Learning and Improvement, supporting service development, sharing expertise, and fostering a culture of continuous professional development within the team. You will provide visible clinical leadership within transplant follow-up, helping to shape and enhance the future of transplant services at Oxford.

As part of the Transplant Nurse Specialist team, you will also contribute to a 24/7 on-call service, ensuring seamless coordination and support for patients and clinical teams at all times.

We are recruiting into a fixed term Band 7 Post Transplant Nurse Specialist post for an experienced nurse who is already working as band 6 or 7 and would like the opportunity to learn and progress in their clinical and managerial career.

We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic and highly motivated to work within the Transplant service. You will work within an outpatient team of nurses, providing nurse led post transplant clinics. You will also play an integral role in providing transplant recipient coordination.

The main focus of the role will require you to work closely with the other specialist nurses in the wider transplant specialist nurse team and doctors in the different pre and post transplant pathways. You will not only be performing advanced skilled interventions but you will be using your clinical expertise to interpret your findings, make further requests for interventions, as well as referring on to further practitioners or GPs.
