Summary
Role: CMM Operator
Location: Cinderford
Salary: £32,000 - £34,000
Day Shift
As a CMM Operator, you will be responsible for inspecting precision-manufactured components to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards. Working closely with production and quality teams, you will play a key role in maintaining excellence quality standard for aerospace, automotive and oil & gas customers.
Responsibilities:
• Operate and program CMM equipment (Aberlink)
• Maintain CMM Program Library
• Perform Inspection & testing
• Interpret Engineering Drawings and Blueprints (GD&T experience)
• First off and Last off Inspection CMM & handheld measuring equipment
• Calibration, drawing & other documentation control.
• FAIR creation using QPULSE or any other software the company may use in the future to AS9102B Standards
• Gauge R & R
• Day to day company quality issue’s reporting to the quality manager/representative, in particular the quality of machined products throughout the company
• Inspection of parts: -
• Prior to and returning from Outwork Processes
• Final Inspection and sign off before delivery to the customer
• Quality engineering working with QEP personal and customers to highlight resolve issues.
• NCR creation, evaluation & resolution
• Continuous improvement.
• Assisting the Quality Manager with audits both internal and supplier
• Help with the introduction of new manufacturing techniques and principles
Requirements:
• Previous experience operating CMM equipment within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Good understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience using quality inspection tools such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
