Applicants should have established skills in the assessment and management of oculoplastic conditions. Experience of independent outpatient practice and theatre work is desirable. We are looking for an excellent communicator with a collaborative approach, a commitment to high-quality patient care, and enthusiasm for teaching and service improvement. As a major tertiary referral centre and teaching hospital, we work closely with colleagues across ophthalmology, maxillofacial surgery, ENT, dermatology and oncology to provide high-quality, multidisciplinary care for patients with both routine and complex conditions. What you will bring to the role We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic ophthalmologist who is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. The successful candidate will have: FRCOphth (or equivalent) and at least four years of higher specialist training (or equivalent). Full GMC registration with a licence to practise by the intended start date. Experience in oculoplastics and the ability to manage a broad range of oculoplastic conditions. Excellent clinical judgement and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care. The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and build strong working relationships with colleagues across specialties. Experience of working in outpatient clinics, operating theatres and acute ophthalmology services. An interest in teaching, training and supporting the development of junior colleagues. A commitment to research, quality improvement and service development. Excellent communication, organisational and decision-making skills.
