The Job:
This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern, indoor weaner to finishing pig unit, working within an experienced team focused on high standards of animal welfare, production and performance. The role is ideal for someone with previous pig or livestock experience who is looking for a long-term position with accommodation provided, ongoing training and genuine opportunities for career progression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily care and management of pigs throughout the weaner to finishing cycle
- Feeding, cleaning, and general pig husbandry
- Monitoring animal health, welfare and performance
- Maintaining high biosecurity and hygiene standards
- Identifying and reporting any health or welfare concerns
- Supporting the team to achieve production targets
- Maintaining accurate records and following farm procedures
The Company:
Our client is a well established pig production business operating modern indoor facilities with a strong focus on animal welfare, staff development and continuous improvement. They are committed to investing in their people and providing a supportive working environment.
The Candidate:
- Previous experience working with pigs or livestock (minimum one year preferred)
- Good understanding of animal welfare and husbandry
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work weekends on a rota
- Experience within a weaner-to-finishing pig unit
- Knowledge of indoor pig production systems
- Agricultural qualification
- Full driving licence
The Package:
- Salary up to €35,000 dependent on experience
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday , one weekend in two on a rota basis

Candidate Requirements
