We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable main dealership in Newbury, for an experienced Service PDI Technician / MOT Tester.

The Service PDI Technician / MOT Tester role offers an excellent career opportunity for skilled automotive professionals seeking to work within a well-established dealership environment.

Our client is looking for a dedicated professional to deliver top-quality vehicle servicing and testing, ensuring customer satisfaction and dealership standards are consistently met.

Duties:

- Conduct routine vehicle servicing, inspections, and repairs as part of the Service PDI Technician / MOT Tester role

- Perform PDI inspections and MOT tests in accordance with manufacturer standards

- Carry out diagnostics to identify vehicle faults

- Maintain detailed records of work carried out by the Service PDI Technician / MOT Tester

- Contribute to upholding the dealership’s professional image

- Ensure all work complies with current safety and quality standards

- Assist colleagues in the workshop when necessary

Requirements:

- NVQ Level 3 in Automotive Servicing and Repair or equivalent

- Full UK driving licence

- MOT testing licence is essential for the Service PDI Technician / MOT Tester role

- Prior experience in a main dealer, independent garage, or fast-fit environment is advantageous

- Franchise experience is desirable but not essential

- Positive attitude and a proactive approach

- Strong attention to detail and high standards of workmanship

- Ability to work efficiently within a busy workshop environment
