Summary

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Service Advisor in Guildford, Surrey. This role offers excellent earning potential, structured working hours, and long-term career development in a premium main dealership aftersales environment.

Duties of the Service Advisor:

- Welcome customers and confirm vehicle requirements, taking full responsibility for the vehicle during the visit

- Plan and schedule work to support workshop capacity and meet customer expectations

- Monitor the flow of work into the workshop, liaising with workshop control to keep jobs on time

- Raise, process, and complete repair orders in line with established guidelines and standards

- Keep customers updated on changes, including costs and expected completion times/dates

- Manage accurate and timely invoicing, ensuring job extensions are properly authorised and recorded

- Oversee vehicle presentation, including washing and vacuuming before handover

- Complete thorough vehicle handover, explaining invoices clearly and advising on future requirements

- Handle subcontracted repairs to ensure quality standards are met

- Manage warranty and goodwill authorisations in accordance with manufacturer guidelines

- Maintain excellent housekeeping and support a safe working environment across front and back of house service areas

Requirements of the Service Advisor:

- Proven experience in an aftersales environment; customer-facing service support experience required

- Automotive Service Advisor experience essential

- Demonstrable track record of maximising workshop profitability through service scheduling and service sales

- Confident communication skills, able to build rapport and manage expectations

- Immaculate personal presentation and professionalism aligned with a premium brand

- Full UK driving licence
