We are looking to recruit a
SEND Teaching Assistant to work within specialist SEND provisions across
Mansfield. The successful
SEND Teaching Assistant will support students with ASD and SEMH on a one-to-one and small group basis, encouraging engagement, independence, and positive behaviour. This
SEND Teaching Assistant role offers flexible day-to-day work with the opportunity to secure a long-term position for the right
SEND Teaching Assistant. The ideal
SEND Teaching Assistant will be confident adapting support to meet individual learning needs while working closely with teachers and support staff. As a
SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in creating a positive learning environment where every student is supported to achieve their potential.
The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:
• At least 6 months' experience working within a UK education setting
• Experience supporting students with ASD and SEMH
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
• A patient, resilient, and proactive approach to supporting learning
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable but not essential
