TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming SEND school based in the TA7 area of Bridgwater. The school adopts a child-focused, trauma-informed and Thrive-based approach, creating a supportive family environment where pupils' mental health, wellbeing and individual potential are at the heart of everything they do.
The school is looking to appoint a dedicated
LSA on a full-time temporary basis from September. The successful
LSA will support pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), many of whom experience high levels of anxiety and associated needs, providing both 1:1 and classroom support to help pupils engage with learning, develop confidence and achieve positive outcomes.
The successful LSA will have:

Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
•
An understanding of supporting pupils with anxiety and additional needs
•
A caring, patient and resilient approach
•
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
•
The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team
•
A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
