Summary
As a Specialist Epilepsy Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in education, service leadership, MDT collaboration, clinical governance, and research. You will develop and deliver tailored educational resources for children, families, and schools, and create training programs for healthcare professionals. You will lead quality improvement initiatives, engage with national and regional epilepsy networks, and oversee the implementation of epilepsy processes. Additionally, you will mentor junior staff as required and maintain a safe, effective service by intervening when necessary. In collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, you will ensure continuity of care, working with professionals across health, social care, and education sectors. You will also contribute to clinical governance, ensuring evidence-based practices, overseeing audits, and maintaining high safeguarding standards.
