ABOUT WOOD STREET:

Wood Street is a welcoming home in Maryport, Cumbria, where you'll support FIVE WOMEN WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES AND A RANGE OF ADDITIONAL NEEDS, including autism, epilepsy, mental health needs and complex health conditions.

Every person we support has their own personality, interests and goals, making this a varied and rewarding place to work.

As part of our dedicated team, you'll help people live as independently as possible while encouraging choice, dignity and confidence.

Whether you're supporting someone with daily living, personal care, medication, attending appointments, enjoying activities or simply spending time together, you'll be making a genuine difference to people's lives every day.

Some people also require specialist support, including catheter care and positive approaches to behaviours of concern, with full training provided where needed.

SHIFT PATTERNS:

This role involves working a variety of shifts across a 24-HOUR SERVICE, including days, evenings, waking nights, sleep-ins, weekends and bank holidays.

Typical shifts include:

o 7:00AM TO 3:00PM

o 3:00PM TO 11:00PM

o 1:00PM TO 10:00PM

o 1:00PM TO 11:00PM

o 9:00AM TO 6:00PM

o 9:00AM TO 9:00PM

o 7:00AM TO 10:00PM

o 7:00AM TO 11:00PM

o 11:00PM TO 7:00AM (Waking Night)

o SLEEP-IN SHIFTS

Flexibility is important, as shift patterns are based on the needs of the people we support.

What You'll Need:

A FULL UK MANUAL DRIVING LICENCE IS ESSENTIAL for this role, as you'll regularly support people to access appointments, activities and opportunities within their local community.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a FEMALE-ONLY position. This is a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010 due to the personal care needs of the people we support.
