Clinical Lead Nurse Responsibilities
As Clinical Lead, you will work alongside the Home Manager to ensure the delivery of outstanding nursing care and clinical excellence throughout the home.
Key duties include:
Leading and supporting nursing and care teams
Ensuring high-quality, person-centred care delivery
Overseeing care planning, assessments, and reviews
Supporting CQC compliance and clinical governance
Conducting audits and implementing improvements
Managing medication processes and best practice
Supervising, mentoring, and developing nursing staff
Supporting safeguarding and risk management procedures
Liaising with GPs, community teams, families, and external healthcare professionals
Promoting a positive culture focused on resident wellbeing
Requirements
Essential
Registered Nurse qualification (RGN or RMN)
Active NMC registration
Previous experience working within a nursing home, care home, or elderly care setting
Strong clinical skills and knowledge of elderly care
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Desirable
Previous experience as a Clinical Lead, Senior Nurse, Unit Manager, Deputy Manager, or Charge Nurse
Experience supporting dementia care services
Understanding of CQC regulations and compliance
Ideal for Nurses Looking to Step Up
