Summary

£14.40 – £15.00 per hour

We are seeking experienced and compassionate Care Assistants to join our expanding agency team in Pontypool. This is an excellent opportunity for dedicated individuals looking for flexible agency work across care homes, nursing homes, and supported living settings.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality personal care and support to service users.

Assist with moving and handling activities in accordance with care plans and health and safety guidelines.

Administer medication safely and in line with organisational policies and procedures.

Support residents with daily living tasks, including personal hygiene, dressing, feeding, and mobility.

Observe, monitor, and accurately record residents’ wellbeing, reporting any concerns promptly.

Promote independence, dignity, choice, and respect at all times.

Work collaboratively with colleagues and follow individual care plans.

Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.

Requirements

A minimum of 6 months’ UK-based care experience.

Practical experience in moving and handling.

A caring, dependable, and professional approach to work.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
