We’re excited to offer an incredible opportunity for a Goods In Shift Supervisor to join our dedicated and professional Operations
team in Middlesbrough!

Role Details:
Working Hours: 4 on, 4 off, 6am-6pm
Role Type: Permanent, Full Time Role
Location: Middlesbrough
Salary: Up to £30,500
Your Duties Will Include:
* Ensure Health and Safety regulations are adhered to in order to ensure a zero accident culture is developed on shift.
* Ensure that the packing/production plans for each shift are met on time in full.
* Constantly monitor and optimise efficiencies of both machinery and labour.
* Responsible for the update of live data input to ensure optimum efficiency.
* Continuously monitor waste and implement action plans to reduce wastage.
* To analyse main causes of downtime on the shift and implement action plans to meet agreed targets.
* Monitor and control attendance on the shift through ‘return to work’ interviews.
* Ensure that the Company Disciplinary Procedures are followed when appropriate.
* Highlight training/development needs within the team
* Ensure that all relevant technical policies and procedures are adhered to.
* Daily GMP audit must be completed in conjunction with the Technical Department and work with the Technical team to eliminate
issues.
* Champion quality culture within the department whilst monitoring products produced/packed are to the quality specification
* Consistently work towards improving costs and promote continuous improvement culture.
* Monitor and manage the site key performance indicators (KPI’s) to the agreed levels.
* Attend Engineering and Hygiene audits when they are undertaken.
* Undertake any other duties that could reasonably be expected within the remit of the post.
About You:
Essential
* Proven track record of managing front-line teams
* Strong understanding of goods movement, quality and food safety systems
* Effective communicator with strong problem-solving skills
* Good data literacy (e.g. understanding KPIs, variance, basic root cause tools)
* Flexible and able to work days or nights on a shift rotation
* Good understanding of FLT / warehousing procedures – FLT License
Desirable
* Supervisory/management qualification or relevant NVQ
* HACCP Level 2 or equivalent
* IOSH Managing Safely
* Experience in CI tools (Lean, 5S, 5 Whys, Redzone, etc.)
* Familiarity with audit environments (e.g. BRC, Retailer Standards)
* CPC License
