Summary

The post holder will work as part of the Structural Heart team, gaining specialist experience in transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) and the wider management of patients with structural heart disease. The role includes participation in TAVI catheter laboratory activity, pre-procedural assessment, multidisciplinary Heart Team discussions, procedural planning, and involvement in the delivery of high-quality patient-centred care throughout the TAVI pathway. The post holder will contribute to the assessment, treatment, and follow-up of patients undergoing TAVI, including structural heart clinics, inpatient care, post-procedural review, and management of complications. The role also includes opportunities to participate in research activity, clinical audits, teaching and professional development within structural heart disease and interventional cardiology.
