We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable motor retail group in Bolton, for the position of Service Manager. Duties of the Service Manager:

- Achieve service department financial targets and customer satisfaction objectives

- Oversee accurate job costing, invoicing, and parts control to maintain profit margins

- Enhance customer satisfaction and promote customer retention strategies

- Lead and develop a team of Service Advisors, Technicians, and Parts Advisors

- Collaborate with brand partners to ensure compliance with standards and best practices

- Maintain high-quality service standards across all operations

- Manage resource planning and workflow within the service department

Requirements:

- Proven experience in the retail motor trade, ideally at a managerial level

- Strong technical knowledge of service department operations

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Knowledge of vehicle and consumer legislation (desirable)

- Technical or engineering qualifications are advantageous

- Demonstrable leadership experience, with a minimum of two years in a similar role

- Valid UK driving licence is essential
