Summary

We are looking for someone to become a member of our Dispensary Team, where you will provide support in delivering a high quality service to all Pharmacy customers.
The innovative use of IT is important to us, and we are continually looking for new opportunities. We have robotic dispensing, bar-coded prescription tracking, electronic prescribing and discharge systems.
The department is friendly and supportive, operating within a modern environment having gone through a full refurbishment in winter 2017.
This position would suit someone with a keen eye for detail and who is able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, including other healthcare professionals and members of the public. You will be a good team player, enthusiastic and proactive with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Your role will include:
- Dispensing inpatient and outpatient prescriptions and discharge medication.
- Meeting and greeting people at the reception hatch and accepting outpatient prescriptions and taking prescription charges.
- Stock control and associated tasks relating to stock management.
The department is a 24 hour department and the core hours for the dispensary are 9.00am until 9.00pm .
This is a full time role; working hours are Monday to Friday 09:30am - 18:00pm. You will also be required to work weekends and bank holidays.
You will be required to complete a GPhC-approved dispensary Level 2 course.
