A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK Previous experience in a kitchen setting is essential. 30 hours per week Shift pattern :Week 1 Monday - 8-4 laundry Tuesday - 8-4 laundry Friday - 8-4 kitchen Saturday - 8-4 kitchen Sunday - 8-4 kitchen Week 2 Tuesday - 8-4 laundry Wednesday - 8-4 laundry Thursday - 8-4 kitchen Friday - 8-4 kitchen A day in the life of a Kitchen Assistant Support the chef to create healthy/balanced meals and snacks, and ensuring a good understanding of various dietary requirements and allergens Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in the kitchen area, with good levels of hygiene particularly in line with COSHH regulations and health and safety protocols. Work as a team player, but have the ability to lone work when needed, effectively managing your time. Offer support, communication and engagement to the residents. Additionally to these tasks you will be required to assist with the laundry About You You don't have to have worked in care before, a previous role in a different catering environment is great for someone willing to learn. We'd like you to have some prior knowledge of food safety and COSHH. You will be a caring, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who is able to show empathy to the needs of others.
