Summary
Detailed job description and main responsibilities This role supports podiatrists in delivering high-quality care across clinics, community settings, and domiciliary visits. You will carry out delegated clinical and administrative tasks while providing compassionate, patient-centred care to individuals who may be in pain, anxious, or vulnerable, always maintaining dignity and professionalism. The postholder will ensure high standards of infection prevention and control, follow Trust policies and procedures, and manage a delegated workload effectively. The role also involves supporting patient pathways, maintaining accurate records using electronic systems, and contributing to stock control and clinic preparation. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, promoting effective communication, teamwork, and service improvement through participation in audits, governance, and quality initiatives. The role also includes supporting the induction and development of new staff and students, and contributing to a positive and supportive team culture. Flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to prioritise workload in a busy clinical environment are essential. Starting with NELFT NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Goodmayes. Probationary Period This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff). High Cost Area Supplement – Outer London (B&D, Redbridge, Havering and Waltham Forest, Goodmayes) This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,870to a maximum of £6,137 p.a. pro rata for part time).
