Our client is looking for a dedicated and adaptable Teacher to join their therapeutic education team, where animals, nature, and outdoor learning play a key role in helping children and young people engage with education. You don't need prior experience in secondary education, what matters is a confident, innovative approach to cross-curricular teaching!

About Our Client

Our client is a leading therapy and learning provision, offering alternative and specialist education for children and young people with diverse needs. Their provision operates across three sites:

- Shamley Green (Surrey)

- Liss (Hampshire)

- West Horsley (Surrey)

Due to expansion, they are often recruiting Teachers for more than one site, currently West Horsley and Shamley Green.

Why Join Our Client:

- The opportunity to shape learning - this is a senior role, giving you the chance to co-design and deliver a bespoke curriculum.

- A supportive and rewarding environment - help young people develop confidence, skills, and a love for learning.

The Role:

- Delivering creative, cross-curricular education for learners aged 11 - 17 in a therapeutic setting.

- Designing and implementing individualised learning programmes based on students' Education and Care Plans.

- Overseeing education attainment and ensuring learning is embedded across the provision.

- Supporting and mentoring staff to integrate education into all aspects of their therapeutic approach.

- Using the farm, animals, and outdoor spaces to support engagement and wellbeing.

- Helping young people work towards academic and personal development goals through innovative and experiential learning.

Who They're Looking For:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

- At least one year of SEN teaching experience (or experience with vulnerable young people).

- A creative and flexible teaching approach - this role requires thinking outside the box!

- Experience with animals or equine learning is beneficial but not essential.

- A strong understanding of safeguarding and working with young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

- A team player who is resilient, adaptable, and passionate about making a difference.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Develop, lead, and monitor education provision across the setting.

- Support junior education staff and oversee curriculum development.

- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, risk assessments, and policies.
