This is your opportunity to support our education team during our busiest and most rewarding months, helping people connect with nature through hands-on outdoor learning. 

Our permanent seasonal contract gives you the best of both worlds – a chance to make a difference during our core season, with the security of knowing you can return to the team each year.  

  • You’ll work an average of 37.5 hours per week during the core season (normally February to November) each year.

  • Starting salary is circa £20,495 per season (£24,785 per annum FTE)

  • We also have shared accommodation available in our staff flat during the season if required – come live and work in a beautiful part of the UK.

Every role contributes to that mission. As an Education Support Assistant, your work will directly enhance high‑quality environmental learning, helping learners of all ages build confidence, curiosity, and a deeper connection with the natural world. 

What you’ll be doing

You’ll play a key role within our education team, helping to ensure the smooth delivery of our field courses and environmental activities. 

As a practical and adaptable member of the team, you’ll provide essential support that allows our tutors to focus on delivering high-quality learning experiences and help groups get the most from their time at the centre.

You’ll prepare fieldwork equipment and classrooms, organise lesson and health and safety resources, and help keep learning spaces clean, safe and ready for every group.

You’ll also support with administration tasks, accompany teaching staff on field trips, support students during their fieldwork, help run environmental or problem-solving games, and contribute to the wider day-to-day running of the centre.

Working in a busy and varied environment, you’ll need to be confident working both independently and as part of a team, using your initiative to solve problems and provide the support needed to help the centre run smoothly.

This is an active role, weekly hours will vary, with more during busy periods and fewer in quieter weeks. Some weeks can be busy and demanding, but it is also highly rewarding work.

A degree or equivalent in a relevant subject is desirable but not essential, it is more important to us that you have:
