Join our HR Team at The Compleat Food Group!

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Advisor to join our team in Crewe!

You will play a key role in supporting the people strategy on-site by leading recruitment activities, managing employee relations,

and driving engagement initiatives. This role ensures that the site attracts, develops, and retains talented individuals while

fostering a positive, inclusive, and productive workplace culture.

As the site HR Advisor, you will act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing guidance, support, and practical

solutions to people-related matters, and will take a proactive approach to maintaining high levels of engagement and wellbeing

across the workforce.

Working Hours:

This is a site based role with working hours from Monday to Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, and an early finish at 4:00 PM on

Fridays, who doesn’t love that?

Your Duties Will Include:

* Providing support for Employee Relation cases, including notetaking, letters, and documentation

* Tracking absence triggers and supporting managers with absence and probation reviews

* Supporting consultation processes (change of terms, redundancy, TUPE)

* Conducting HR walkarounds, welfare interviews, and attending huddles across shifts

* Supporting employee engagement, talent mapping, and succession planning

* Managing weekly paid recruitment activity from advertising through to offer stage

* Maintaining local social media pages aligned with group branding

* Supporting and delivering site inductions when required

* Coaching managers across the employee lifecycle (interviews, performance reviews, disciplinaries, grievances, appeals, Return

to Work interviews, Occupational Health referrals, absence reviews)

* Supporting delivery of the group leadership programme onsite

* Escalating complex Employee Relation cases appropriately

* Updating HR systems, trackers, and reports

* Completing Right to Work checks accurately

* Supporting internal and external audits e.g. SEDEX

* Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

* Previous HR experience (FMCG, food or manufacturing environment desirable)

* Strong organisation and administration skills, including Excel, Word, and HR systems

* Experience recruiting blue-collar employees in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment (desirable)

* Aspiring to or working towards CIPD Level 5

* Excellent communication skills and a proactive, approachable style
