Are you an enthusiastic and supportive Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in Plymouth? We are currently recruiting a dedicated professional to join a vibrant, welcoming primary school team. This position offers consistent daytime hours, allowing for a professional work-life balance while making a meaningful impact on student development.
Responsibilities
- Classroom Support: Assist the class teacher in delivering dynamic primary curriculum lessons.
- Targeted Intervention: Work 1-on-1 or with small groups to boost literacy, numeracy, and student confidence.
- Inclusive Learning: Provide tailored assistance to children with diverse learning needs and Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Environment & Wellbeing: Foster a positive, safe, and motivating environment for young learners.
Qualifications
- Experience working with primary school children in education, nursery, youth work, or care settings.
- A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach to learning.
- Good standard of literacy and numeracy (Grade C/4 GCSE English and Maths or equivalent).
- An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or readiness to apply for one).
- Right to work in the UK.
What We Offer
- Competitive daily rate of £92.56 - £95, based on experience.
- Standard school hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only).
