Summary

Class 1 (C+E) Day Driver

Location: Atherstone

Pay: £16.00 per hour

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Start Time: 11:00am

Shift Pattern: Ad Hoc

The Best Connection Tamworth are currently recruiting for an experienced

Class 1 (C+E) Day Driver to join our client based in Atherstone.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional HGV Driver looking for ongoing work with the potential to secure a permanent position.

Job Role

As a Class 1 Day Driver, you will be responsible for completing trunking work between depots, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Completing Class 1 trunking duties

  • Driving between depots and distribution centres

  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks before and after each shift

  • Completing all relevant transport paperwork accurately

  • Ensuring compliance with Driver's Hours and Working Time Regulations

  • Maintaining a professional and courteous manner at all times

  • Delivering excellent levels of customer service

Requirements

  • Minimum

    • 2 year's commercial Class 1 (C+E) driving experience

  • Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence

  • Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card

  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card

  • Good understanding of Driver's Hours legislation

  • Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious

  • Comfortable with trunking work and flexible to work on an ad hoc basis
