The Role
As Branch Manager, you'll have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and commercial success of the branch. You'll lead from the front, developing customer relationships, driving sales and ensuring the business achieves its financial objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
•
Managing the overall performance and profitability of the branch
•
Driving sales growth through new and existing customer relationships
•
Leading, motivating and developing your team
•
Managing branch operations, purchasing and stock levels
•
Overseeing logistics and customer service standards
•
Monitoring financial performance, including full P&L responsibility
•
Developing local business opportunities and increasing market share
•
Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and key stakeholders
•
Ensuring business targets and operational standards are consistently achieved
About You
We're looking for a commercially minded manager with a strong sales background and the ability to lead a successful branch operation.
You'll ideally have:
•
Previous management experience within a branch, distribution, wholesale or trade environment
•
Experience within a technical wholesale, electrical wholesale, merchanting or trade distribution business would be highly advantageous
•
A strong B2B sales background
•
Experience developing customer accounts and winning new business
•
Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
•
Strong leadership and people management abilities
•
Knowledge of the local market and surrounding area
•
The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
