Construction Lecturer - Further Education

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Construction Lecturers, Assessors, Trainers, or industry professionals looking to move into teaching and make a positive impact within the FE sector. The Role

As a Construction Lecturer, your responsibilities will include:

Delivering high-quality teaching across construction programmes.

Planning and preparing engaging practical and theory-based lessons.

Assessing learner work and providing timely, constructive feedback.

Monitoring learner progress and implementing strategies to improve achievement.

Promoting safe working practices and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Working collaboratively with colleagues to develop and enhance the construction curriculum.

Maintaining accurate learner records and meeting awarding body requirements.

Preparing learners for employment and progression within the construction industry.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have:

A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, DET, DTLLS, QTS or QTLS (or willingness to work towards one).

Relevant industry qualifications and occupational experience within one or more of the following areas:

Plumbing & Heating

Bricklaying

Plastering

Joinery

Multi-Skills Construction

Electrical Installation

Experience teaching, assessing, or training within Further Education, apprenticeships, or workplace learning environments.

Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

A genuine passion for education and helping learners achieve their full potential.

Knowledge of current industry standards, regulations, and health & safety requirements.
