Summary

QA Technician

Location: Lichfield

Pay: From £15.00 per hour (with pay reviews as you develop)

Hours: 40 Hours Per Week

• Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm

• Friday: 7:30am – 12:00pm (Enjoy an early finish every Friday!)

Contract: Permanent

What You'll Be Doing

As a QA Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining exceptional quality standards throughout the manufacturing process by:

✅ Carrying out First-Off, In-Process and Final Inspections

✅ Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and customer requirements

✅ Inspecting components using precision measuring equipment including:

Verniers

Micrometers

Height Gauges

Other inspection equipment

✅ Completing inspection reports and maintaining accurate quality documentation.

✅ Identifying non-conformances and supporting investigations into root causes.

✅ Assisting with corrective and preventative actions to improve manufacturing processes.

✅ Supporting internal quality audits and process compliance.

✅ Working closely with Production, Engineering and Management teams to resolve quality issues.

✅ Supporting customer and supplier quality activities.

✅ Maintaining ISO quality systems and documentation.

✅ Promoting a safe, organised and high-quality working environment.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

✔ Previous experience as a QA Technician, Quality Technician, Quality Inspector or Quality Engineer within manufacturing.

✔ Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings.

✔ Experience using precision measuring equipment.

✔ Excellent attention to detail.

✔ Strong communication and organisational skills.

✔ Good computer literacy and experience completing quality documentation.

✔ A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and within a team.

Highly Desirable

⭐ Fabrication, Welding, CNC Machining or Precision Engineering experience.

⭐ Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Systems.

⭐ Internal auditing experience.

⭐ Root Cause Analysis & Continuous Improvement knowledge.

⭐ Experience using CMM Measuring Equipment.
