£105-£115 per day

Long Term Futures is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a well-established SEN School in Birmingham, supporting children and young people aged 5-19 years with a range of additional needs.
This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity to work alongside a highly experienced team, helping pupils with complex learning needs to thrive both academically and personally. The school caters for pupils with a variety of Special Educational Needs, including Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Complex Needs, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
We are looking for someone who holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
Working closely with teachers, therapists, and the wider SEN support team, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils aged 5-19 with a range of Special Educational Needs
- Supporting pupils to access a personalised curriculum within a nurturing and inclusive environment
- Assisting with the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and individual learning targets
- Encouraging independence, communication, and social development through engaging learning activities
- Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and promoting positive behaviour using consistent strategies
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to meet the individual needs of each pupil
- Monitoring pupil progress and providing regular feedback to teaching staff
- Assisting with personal care where required, ensuring pupils' dignity and wellbeing are maintained at all times
- Essential: Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs is highly desirable
- Knowledge of Autism (ASC), SEMH, ADHD, MLD, SLD, or Complex Needs
