We are delighted to be recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Class Teacher to join our new school in Andover, Hampshire.

Our school will provide a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for up to 60 pupils aged 5-18 with a range of complex needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to achieve their full potential, and we are committed to delivering personalised education that supports both academic success and emotional wellbeing.

As part of the community, you'll be joining an organisation with over 30 years of experience in transforming the lives of children and young people. We are proud that 100% of our education services are rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted, reflecting our commitment to delivering exceptional education and care.

As an SEN Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality lessons that meet the individual needs of your pupils while creating a positive and supportive learning environment.

Working closely with colleagues and wider professionals, you'll help pupils develop confidence, resilience, and a love of learning while supporting their social and emotional development.

- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum, adapted to meet individual pupil needs

- Support pupils with SEMH and other additional needs to achieve positive educational outcomes

- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment

- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team to support learning and positive behaviour

- Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress, identifying any additional support required

- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues

- Supervise pupils during breaktimes, educational visits, and extracurricular activities

- Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and personal development across the school day

We're looking for a passionate and committed teacher who is dedicated to helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- Degree-level education

- Previous successful teaching experience

- Experience supporting pupils with SEMH within an educational setting

- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships

- A commitment to continuous professional development

- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check prior to employment

We recognise that supporting our staff is just as important as supporting our pupils.

When you join our team, you'll benefit from:

- A welcoming, supportive, and inclusive working environment

- A strong focus on staff wellbeing and work-life balance

- Ongoing training and excellent professional development opportunities

- The opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people

- A collaborative team of passionate education professionals committed to achieving the very best outcomes for every pupil

The successful applicant will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check, funded by us.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. We expect all colleagues to share this commitment and uphold the highest standards of safeguarding practice.

We are proud to be an equal opportunities employer. We welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates and are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected.
