Summary

Workshop Engineer | Newcastle upon Tyne | Full Time | Monday to Friday working hours (9:00 am – 4:30 pm) | £25,000-£30,000 per annum

Our client was founded in 1998 and is a national supplier of nurse call systems and assistive technology products from leading worldwide manufacturers.

They are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Workshop Engineer to join their growing team based in Newcastle upon Tyne. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop practical engineering and technical skills within a supportive workshop environment. No previous experience is required as full training will be provided.

The Role

The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of workshop-based tasks, including repairing electronic and technical equipment, programming and configuring products, soldering and assembly work, providing technical support, and preparing customer orders for dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

• Repairing electronic and technical equipment

• Programming and configuring products

• Soldering and assembly work

• Providing technical support to customers and colleagues

• Packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch

• General workshop duties as required

Requirements

Essential

• Punctual and reliable

• Enthusiastic and motivated

• Willing to learn new skills and undertake training

• Able to work effectively as part of a team

• Able to follow instructions and work to a high standard

• Interested in technical or engineering-related work

Desirable

• Previous workshop, engineering, or technical experience
