We are seeking an experienced and credible project or data professional to join Project & Programme Delivery(PPD) as the Major Projects Senior Analyst in the Major Project Centre of Excellence.

This pivotal technical leadership role will provide expert data analysis, delivery insight and reporting support to Major Project delivery teams to help them achieve their outcomes and embed learning across the community.

As a member of the Centre of Excellence team, you will contribute to data strategy, embed transformation and drive continuous improvement. You will also be expected to deputise for the G7 Governance, Configuration, Risk,Assurance and Reporting Manager for Major Projects. You will play a key role in embedding new ways of working introduced through the Aurora programme, supporting a more resilient, confident and high performing delivery system.

Working closely with Project Directors, major project delivery teams and external partners, you will develop and champion best practice in project and programme management information, and drive consistency in reporting tools and artefacts.

You will provide clear technical leadership, championing data standards and ensuring clarity and consistency in reporting across all major projects, applying systems thinking to understand interdependencies and support effective decision-making in complex environments. You will help teams to navigate complexity and change, maintaining a focus on outcomes, value for money and delivery confidence.

The team

The Major Projects Centre of Excellence is a new team being established under the Deputy Director for Major Projects. The team will support major project delivery teams to embed the requirements of the Teal Book. Drawing from experienced major project professionals the team ethos is ‘for major projects by major projects’, collectively working together as one team to improve delivery confidence and share best practice across the major project community.
