Summary
To work as a radiographer to a high professional standard providing assistance and guidance to junior staff. Ensure standards of imaging meet the directorate requirement and that policy and protocol is followed. To ensure high quality patient care at all times, managing patient flow and waiting times based on clinical priority. Seeking advice as required and escalating abnormalities and concerns appropriately. Maintaining a safe, clean and tidy work area reporting any incidents through the correct process. Radiographers are expected to participate in quality assurance and audit programmes within the departments to ensure robust review of standards and effective use of resources. Professionally radiographers will participate in the appraisals having clear objectives to support professional development ensuring they maintain up to date knowledge and expertise meeting HCPC requirements.
