Join Bristol NHS Foundation Trust as a  Senior Estates Manager and take responsibility for electrical engineering services across one of the UK's largest and most technically demanding healthcare estates. This is an opportunity to lead talented teams, influence major infrastructure decisions and play a vital role in keeping clinical services running safely for more than 1.5 million people.

This is an opportunity to step into a senior role where your technical expertise, people leadership and service management experience will directly influence the reliability of critical hospital infrastructure.

What you'll be doing:

We're looking for a highly experienced Senior Estates Managerto lead our electrical engineering services: operating across our Southmead Hospitals, you will serve as an Authorised Person (AP) for electrical systems, ensuring full compliance with statutory legislation, HTMs, and Trust policies. This includes:

• Providing technical leadership for all HV/LV electrical systems as the Trust's Authorised Person (AP)

• Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, HTMs, Health & Safety legislation and Trust governance requirements

• Leading, motivating and developing a team of skilled engineers

• Managing complex maintenance programmes and engineering projects 

• Working closely with clinical teams, contractors and senior stakeholders to minimise disruption whilst maintaining critical services

• Managing risk through robust safe systems of work, permits, risk assessments and method statements

We're looking for someone who ideally has:

• Experience of HV/LV electrical infrastructure, statutory compliance and engineering governance

• Significant people management experience with the ability to lead and motivate team

• Experience managing engineering or estates services within a large, complex organisation

• Experience delivering safe, compliant engineering services in highly regulated environments

• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the confidence to work across multidisciplinary teams

Experience within the NHS is advantageous, but we also welcome applicants from other large, technically complex organisations where service resilience and safety are critical.
