Livestock & Tractor Operator

Livestock & Tractor Operator - Yorkshire - £33,000–£38,000 + Accommodation

The Job:

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role combining livestock work with tractor driving. This is a hands on position offering plenty of variety, overtime opportunities and the chance to join a supportive team with long term career prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Milking the dairy herd

- Daily care and management of youngstock

- Feeding livestock

- Tractor driving for feeding, bedding, mucking out, topping, rolling and general fieldwork

- Loader work including loading feed, muck and materials

- General farm maintenance and yard duties

- Basic machinery servicing and daily checks

- Supporting the wider farm team during busy periods

The Candidate:

- Previous experience working with livestock

- Competent tractor driving skills

- Good stockmanship and a genuine interest in animal welfare

- Full UK driving licence

- Milking experience

- Experience working with youngstock

- Loader/telehandler experience

- Mechanical or machinery maintenance experience

- Agricultural qualification

The Package:

- Salary £33,000–£38,000 dependent on experience

- Accommodation available

- Overtime available

Candidate Requirements

All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
