Post Title: MA Enforcement Officer 2 St1 - 2 Posts

Location: Trading Standards Office, Inverness

Hours: 35 hours per week

Duration: Fixed term - 30 Months

Salary: HC01 £24,606 p.a. (Standard Living Wage) -

HC07 £36,636 p.a.

Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job

Purpose:

To work as an effective member of the Trading Standards Team, covering all subject matters including Fair Trading, Scams, Tobacco, Intellectual Property, and Trusted Trader.

To train and develop to achieve the SVQ in Regulatory Services at SCQF Level 7.

Whilst undertaking this modern apprenticeship, the postholder will work to secure a fair and safe environment for people working and living in Highland by administration and enforcement of Trading Standards and Environmental Health law. This includes advising and assisting businesses, complaint investigation, business inspections, test transactions and targeted projects.

To efficiently discharge the duties and functions of the Service in accordance with the Council and Service objectives under the direction of the Trading Standards management team
