Cover Supervisor
Birmingham (Clean driving licence and access to a car is desirable)
£100-£120 per day

Long Term Futures is proud to work in partnership with a well-established multi-academy trust comprising 14 secondary schools across Birmingham. We are looking to recruit experienced and confident Cover Supervisors to support schools across the trust.
Whether you're looking to secure a full-time, long-term position in one school or would prefer the flexibility of supply work across multiple schools within the trust, we have opportunities to suit your preferences.
This role is ideal for experienced Cover Supervisors who can confidently manage classrooms, deliver pre-planned lessons, and maintain a positive learning environment in the absence of teaching staff.
About the Role
Working closely with teaching staff and senior leaders, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Supervising whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff
- Delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of secondary subjects
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with each school's behaviour policy
- Ensuring pupils remain engaged and on task throughout lessons
- Providing support and guidance where appropriate while maintaining the role of a Cover Supervisor
- Recording attendance, behaviour, and lesson outcomes for teaching staff
- Building positive relationships with pupils and staff across the trust
- Supporting the wider school community during break duties and other activities when required
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Essential: Previous UK-based experience working as a Cover Supervisor within secondary schools
- Confident managing classes across KS3 and KS4 in a variety of subject areas
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Strong communication and organisational abilities
- Calm, professional, and adaptable in different school environments
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high standards
- Hold a degree or relevant educational qualification (desirable but not essential)
