This post is based within the specialist Neurorehabilitation Service, supporting patients following a stroke and with other neurological conditions. The team work across inpatient, Community and outpatient settings. You will work with in an integrated Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy team supporting patients based on the inpatient Stroke and Neuro Ward (Staples Ward). The team provides specialist, evidence-based neurorehabilitation, assessing and supporting patients' physical, cognitive and functional abilities. Rehabilitation includes intensive therapy programmes, ward-based gym activities, specialist rehabilitation equipment and group therapy sessions. Please note that other teams sit alongside the Acute Inpatient Therapy Service, including: Medical Respiratory Health of Older people (Medical Rehabilitation) Critical care and Surgery. Trauma and Elective Vacancies may arise within these teams, and suitable candidates from this recruitment process may be appointed to these roles within three months of the closing date. You will join a friendly and dedicated team who are committed to rehabilitating patients, preventing admissions, promoting health, wellbeing and independence. Guided by experienced members of the Therapy Team, you will be supported through a structured development pathway with access to learning and development opportunities that will help you build your knowledge, skills and confidence.
