Please see the attached job description for the full list of duties and responsibilities.Here is a summary: To be an involved and contributing member of the multi disciplinary team (which includes RMNs, social worker, occupational therapist, psychiatrist, psychologist, psychosocial workers and team administrators). Responsible for the assessment, review, risk assessment and case management of people with varying levels of complexities. Ensure the delivery of high-quality Speech and Language Therapy assessment, interventions and evaluations across forensic in-patient services. Provide specific communication assessments and advice, as part of the single assessment process, culminating in an agreed plan of action and or care and intervention. This would include the use of recognised/agreed standardised Speech and Language Therapy assessment tools alongside profession specific and generic outcome measures. Carry out specialist assessments (within service specification) to identify communication needs for in- patient service users and if indicated develop an agreed action plan of care. Liaise with and advise service users and carers, local authority, and other statutory bodies and third sector agencies.
