Ashton-under-Lyne | Up to £20.00 per hour + Shift Premium

WF Tech are recruiting on behalf an established client for several experienced Borers to join their growing machining team.

We're looking for skilled CNC AND Manual machinists with experience on Horizontal Borers, Vertical Borers, Elgamill or Hartford machining centres. If you have CNC experience programming, setting and operating CNC machines using Fanuc or Heidenhain controls, we'd like to hear from you. If you specialise in Manual Machines we'd like to hear from you.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded heavy precision engineering business machining medium to large, high-value components for a range of industrial sectors.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Producing medium to heavy precision components.

* Working from engineering drawings and customer specifications.

* Selecting tooling and setting machine offsets.

* Performing first-off, in-process and final inspection.

* Maintaining excellent machining standards and productivity.

* Working independently on complex engineering components.

* Supporting overtime requirements when required.

What We're Looking For

* Previous CNC Programming, Setting and Operating experience.

* Experience with Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controls.

* Manual Boring

* Horizontal Borer, Vertical Borer, Elgamill or Hartford machining experience.

* CAD/CAM experience (Fusion 360 or Cimco preferred).

* Ability to read engineering drawings.

* Experience machining medium to heavy components.

* Strong self-inspection skills.

* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Shifts Available

Day Shift

* Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm

* Friday: 8:00am - 1:00pm

* 37 paid hours

Overtime available with approximately 11 hours per week expected.

Night Shift

* Monday - Thursday: 6:00pm - 6:00am

* Four 12-hour shifts

* Paid lunch break

* Night shift paid at Time + 1/3

Additional overtime available Friday afternoons, Saturdays and Sundays.

Salary & Benefits

* Up to £20.00 per hour (depending on experience)

* Night shift premium

* Overtime paid at Time + 1/3

* Weekend overtime paid at Time + 1/2

* Company Pension (5% employee / 3% employer contribution)

* £250 Health & Safety Bonus every six months
