Summary
An opportunity has arisen to for a Band 7 senior dosimetrist to join the radiotherapy physics team at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. The department delivers a comprehensive Radiotherapy service to approximately 2000 patients per year including a brachytherapy service and a complex Stereotactic Radiotherapy service.
A major part of the work involves complex treatment planning, including Stereotactic (SRS and SABR), VMAT and dynamic IMRT Planning.Adaptive Radiotherapy Planning is in development. The senior dosimetrist would also be involved in independent checking the treatment plans and providing dosimetric advice following image review of patients on treatment.
Treatment Planning is carried out on Eclipse for the five Varian TrueBeam linacs, two of the five TrueBeam linacs have HyperArc and a 6d couch for intracranial Stereotactic treatment.
Pre-treatment imaging is carried out on the department’s widebore CT scanner and there is also access to MR and PET-CT in the hospital.
