Summary

The Imaging Department at Whipps Cross Hospital, Barts Health have an exciting career development opportunity to become a Band 8a Radiography Practice Educator in our team.

The Imaging Department supportsone of the busiest A&Es in the country as well as a broad range of specialties with a CT Colon service, walk-in GP services, dedicated MRI pacemaker imaging service, Dental services and MDT-led Fluoroscopy services. The new hospital planned for Whipps Cross will feature imaging as an essential provider for same day assessment and treatment of patients.

We’re looking for an inspiring Radiography Practice Educator to lead our Imaging team through a significant Workforce Transformation while driving the development and growth of Radiographers, Imaging Assistants, Radiography Students, T-level Students and Apprentices at every stage of their career. You’ll champion high‑quality clinical education, guide learners and staff, and lead colleagues confidently through evolving ways of working. Our vision is to support staff to work to the top of their licence, nurturing skills through training and mentorship to realise a workforce that provides outstanding care for our patients now and in the future.

To lead and provide expert clinical practice, training and education to the Imaging workforce and audit practice in line with departmental and national guidelines and protocols.
