Summary

Junior Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Emergency Medicine

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated clinicians to join our team in the Children’s Emergency Department at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.

The successful candidate will work on the SHO grade rota alongside trainees from Paediatrics, General Practice and the Foundation School.

Junior Clinical Fellows will be responsible for the initial assessment and management of acutely unwell and injured children who self-present to the Children’s Emergency Department or who are referred by their GP. They will work alongside the multi-disciplinary team in the Children’s Emergency Department to provide excellent care to children from our local area and around the South-West.

These posts are to commence in January 2027 and will be for a 7-month duration.

• Initial assessment and management of acutely unwell and injured children presenting to the Children’s Emergency Department

• Member of Paediatric Trauma and Resuscitation teams

• Member of a multi-disciplinary team caring for children and their families who have presented to the Children’s Emergency Department

• Involvement in departmental research and quality improvement work
