Summary
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and assisting with mobility.
Support patients with eating, drinking, and maintaining good nutrition and hydration.
Assist with moving and handling using appropriate equipment and safe techniques.
Monitor and record observations, reporting any changes in a patient's condition to the appropriate healthcare professional.
Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
Support patients with daily living activities while promoting independence and dignity.
Follow individual care plans and organisational policies and procedures.
Adhere to infection prevention and control measures, including maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Safeguard vulnerable adults and children by recognising and reporting concerns in line with safeguarding procedures.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection requirements.
Participate in mandatory training, supervision, and continuous professional development.
Deliver compassionate, respectful, and person-centred care at all times.
