Applications are invited for the post of Senior Student Ambassador Scheme Officer in the Marketing and Communications Directorate.

The successful candidate will become an integral member of Royal Holloway’s Events Team, which brings together event professionals responsible for the delivery of high-profile University events including Graduation, public lectures, showcase events, open days, applicant visit days and other reputation enhancing events and hosting opportunities.

The position offers an exciting opportunity for those looking to develop their career and enhance their skills in event, programme, stakeholder and workforce management.

Key responsibilities will include working with the Events Manager (Student Recruitment) to ensure Royal Holloway’s Student Ambassador Scheme continues to deliver a professional and motivated student workforce to support the delivery of a range of university events and activity, including Open Days, talks and tours. The postholder will be responsible for the recruitment and supervision of all Student Ambassadors, acting as the key point of contact for the scheme, coordinating and delivering training and development and managing workforce allocation. Leading by example, they will foster a positive and supportive culture amongst the Student Ambassadors, with a key focus on excellent customer service.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and have an efficient and proactive approach. They will be brilliant at organisation, possess the ability to be calm under pressure and to prioritise conflicting demands to meet strict delivery deadlines. The role will require supervisory experience and proactive cross-institutional engagement, working with a wide network across both academic and professional services areas.

The post is based in Egham, Surrey where the University is situated in a beautiful campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.

The University has adopted hybrid working for some roles and so some remote working will be possible for this role, however the Events Team are fully based on campus in the run up to, and during, event delivery. Events are also regularly delivered at our central London campus.
