Summary

Nursery Cook

Hours: Part-time, 10:00am – 1:00pm (3 hours per day)

We are looking for a dedicated, reliable, and caring Nursery Cook to join our private nursery team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about preparing nutritious meals for young children while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook healthy, balanced meals and snacks for children aged 6 months to 5 years.

Cater for children's individual dietary requirements, allergies, intolerances, and cultural or medical needs, ensuring all appropriate precautions are followed during food preparation and service.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, and kitchen safety in accordance with current food safety legislation.

Complete and maintain all required food hygiene records accurately and ensure documentation is kept up to date.

Manage food storage, stock rotation, and kitchen organisation to ensure compliance with food safety standards.

Work closely with the nursery management team to support children's health, wellbeing, and nutritional needs.

Applicants who do not currently hold HENRY training will be supported by the nursery, and the successful candidate will be enrolled on the course where appropriate.
