Summary

HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician (Telford)

Location: Telford

Salary: Up to £50,000 per year

Hours: 42.5 hours per week

Shifts: Alternating weekly shifts plus alternating Saturdays

We are recruiting for a skilled HGV Technician to join a busy and modern workshop in Telford. This position offers a salary of up to £50,000 and is ideal for a qualified HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician who enjoys fault finding, servicing, repairs, and maintaining commercial vehicles to the highest standards.

Working Hours

Week 1: 6:00am to 2:30pm

Week 2: 2:30pm to 11:00pm

Alternating Saturdays: 7:00am to 11:00am

Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician

Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on commercial vehicles

Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment

Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance

Complete all work to DVSA and workshop standards

Accurately record completed work and repairs

Work closely with workshop colleagues to maximise vehicle uptime

Maintain a safe and organised working environment

Deliver high quality workmanship as an HGV Technician

Provide expert repairs as an HGV Mechanic

Support fleet reliability as a Commercial Vehicle Technician

Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician

Essential

Previous experience as an HGV Technician

Experience working as an HGV Mechanic

Experience as a Commercial Vehicle Technician

Strong diagnostic and fault finding abilities

Full UK driving licence

Positive and professional attitude

Desirable

HGV licence

Experience within a commercial vehicle dealership or fleet workshop

Knowledge of modern vehicle diagnostic systems
