University Hospitals of Derby and Burton Pharmacy Department are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to lead the UHDB Pharmacy outsourcing team. Ensuring patient's receive safe and effective hospital level care from outsourced providers such as Homecare Companies and the Trust Wholly Owned Subsidiary. The role will also significantly support on the delivery of the high-cost drugs agenda for the trust. 

We are seeking to recruit a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician with substantial knowledge and experience of Outsourced Services and High Cost Drugs.

The UHDB High-Cost Drugs and Outsourcing Team is a welcoming, friendly and inclusive team who are committed to improving the service provided to our patients.

This role may require cross site working across all UHDB sites.

The successful candidate will lead the UHDB Pharmacy Outsourcing team to delivery exceptional quality care to patients  using outsourced providers. In addition the candidate will support and promote the safe and effective use of high-cost drugs across UHDB.  Ensuring cost effective use of high cost drugs to ensure resources are used appropriately.  

If you are a registered pharmacy technician with extensive hospital experience within outsourced services and high cost drugs with a desire to develop services for patients this post provides an excellent opportunity.
