Please note this is a fixed term position for 2 years Working hours: 35 hours per weekInterview Date: Tuesday 25th August 2026One of the UK’s most inspiring and best-known faith-basedorganisations is looking for a Community Mission Manager to join the team overseeing our Walthamstow & Leytonstone churches.  You will support the church leaders in enabling both churches to flourish by fostering authentic, loving Christian community, encouraging the exploration of Christian faith, supporting people in their faith journey and helping to embed a mission focus in all aspects of church community life.  Current activities include pre-school groups, games club, community living room, employment plus, well-being small groups and on-site charity shop.Key responsibilities:Foster authentic, loving Christian community.Contribute significantly to the development and delivery of the overall mission objectivesBe responsible for ensuring that each individual element of the church’s programmes has clearly defined objectives and that regular monitoring and review procedures are implemented to monitor progress.Facilitate people’s Christian discipleship, worship and social action, leading prayer, facilitating group worship and providing pastoral support as appropriateThe successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:A commitment to the Christian Faith and to following Jesus in your everyday life.A desire to encourage and support the faith journey of participants.Experience of successfully managing and developing church community mission programmes.The ability to organise your own workload to meet objectives.Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsThis role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be a committed and practising Christian, actively involved with your own ChurchIn order to complete your application please download and read the job profile and any other attachments.In the job profile you will find the criteria required for the role please make sure that you address this in your supporting statement as this forms the basis of our shortlisting.Appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, a criminal record check an Enhanced DBS for the Adult Workforce and an Enhanced DBS with Barred List check for the Child Workforce  and evidence of your Right to Work in the UK in line with Home Office requirements.As we are not a licensed sponsor, applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
